O pó de carvão polvilhado, tal chuva, cai sobre a superfície de uma folha de papel para romper a sua brancura. Nas manchas de pó mais soltas, que se vão sobrepondo em rajadas, cultivo um solo fértil à subjetividade do olhar, e dia após dia, pelo toque e pelo gesto, desenho no deslocar e no varrer desta matéria sobre a superfície. No limiar entre ver e não ver, uma paisagem imaginada, análoga ao olhar de quem a observa, emerge da interpretação que ocorre pelas partes que lhe faltam e na envolvência deste espaço/paisagem, o desenho revela-se num espelho que reflecte a pluralidade.

The sprinkled charcoal powder, like rain, falls onto the surface of the paper, breaking its whiteness. In the looser patches of powder, which overlap in gusts, I cultivate fertile ground for the subjectivity of the gaze. Day after day, through touch and gesture, I draw in the shifting and sweeping of this material across the surface. On the threshold between seeing and not seeing, an imagined landscape—echoing the gaze of the observer—emerges through interpretation. In the absences and in the surroundings of this space/landscape, the drawing discloses itself as a mirror that reflects plurality.

Nas manchas de pó mais soltas, que se vão sobrepondo em rajadas, cultivo um solo fértil à subjetividade do olhar, e dia após dia, pelo toque e pelo gesto, desenho no deslocar e no varrer desta matéria sobre a superfície. No limiar entre ver e não ver, uma paisagem imaginada, análoga ao olhar de quem a observa, emerge da interpretação que ocorre pelas partes que lhe faltam e na envolvência deste espaço/paisagem, o desenho revela-se num espelho que reflecte a pluralidade.
