EcoPintura é uma instalação realizada no âmbito da residência artística na Casa-Animal, organizada por Musa Paradisíaca em parceria com a MART e a Fábrica da pólvora de Vale de Milhaços, extensão do Eco-Museu Municipal do Seixal. 

A instalação contempla a projeção de imagem sobre uma parede do edifício dos carbonizadores, local onde a madeira era carbonizada para construir parte da matéria para a fabricação da pólvora. A criação plástica reflete a identidade do “Francisco”, enquanto património imaterial da fábrica da Pólvora. Francisco é o último operário da Fábrica, que nascera e crescera neste contexto e que se enquadra atualmente como colaborador e maquinista  da caldeira que coloca a máquina a vapor em funcionamento existente neste local. Após uma explosão em 2002, do qual Francisco se viu gravemente afetado, a sua pele tornara-se vermelha resultante das queimaduras que este incidente provocou. A relação da cor vermelha que pinta as paredes exteriores das oficinas deste complexo fabril e a sua pele marcada pela memória deste acontecimento foi o mote para a exploração plástica em contexto de residência.

EcoPainting is an installation carried out as part of the artistic residency at Casa-Animal, organized by Musa Paradisíaca in partnership with MART and  Vale de Milhaços Gunpowder Factory, part of the Seixal Municipal Eco-Museum.

The installation contemplates the projection of image on a wall of the building of the carbonizers, where the wood was charred to build part of the material for the manufacture of gunpowder. The artistic project reflects the identity of “Francisco”, as an intangible heritage of this place. Francisco is the last worker at the factory, who was born and raised in this context and who currently fits as a collaborator and engineer of the boiler that puts the steam engine into operation in this place. After an explosion in 2002, of which Francisco was severely affected, his skin had turned red as a result of the burns that this incident caused. The relationship of the red color that paints the exterior walls of the workshops of this factory complex and its skin marked by the memory of this event was the motto for plastic exploration in the context of the artistic residency.
